Phone Setting User Guide for MCI GPRS Services


 Internet Setting 

If your handset supports GPRS, GPRS setting will be sent automatically to your handset or you can request it via MCI portal. In both cases you will receive appropriate setting in your mobile phone in a SMS. You should accept and save it (by using pin 1234).
In other case, or if your handset doesn't support OTA, please use the following setting:

MMS Settings

If your handset supports MMS, MMS setting will be sent automatically to your handset or you can request it via MCI portal. In both cases you will receive appropriate setting in your mobile phone in a SMS. You should accept and save it (by using pin 1234).
In other case, or if your handset doesn't support OTA, at first you must set GPRS Setting in your handset the please use the following setting:

Connection Name MCI-MMS
Internet Account MCI-GPRS
MMSC Address(Service Center Address) 192.168.193.134
MMSC Port 38090

 

 GPRS-MMS Setting in Windows based handsets

If your handset doesn't support OTA and is based on Windows CE, you can use the following manual setting process. At first, set your handset for GPRS connection, and then set its MMS setting.

GPRS settings:

  • Go to "Start menu"
  • [se‎lect] "setting"
  • [se‎lect] "connections" and go to "Connections"
  • On "Manage existing connections", enter this setting name as "MCI-GPRS"
  • Go to Next
  • Put "mcinet" as a access point name
  • Go back to connection  and go to "Edit my proxy server"
  • [se‎lect]" advance" and the following parameters:
    • HTTP Proxy: 192.168.194.73
    • port: 8080
    • WAP Proxy: 192.168.194.73
    • port: 9201

MMS setting:

  • Go to "start menu"
  • Choose "Messaging"
  • Go to MMS Configuration
  • On "Server", [se‎lect] "New"
  • Put the server Name "MCI-MMS" and define the following parameters:
    • Port number: 38090
    • Server address: 192.168.193.134
    • Connect via: MCI-GPRS
    • Sending size limitation: 100K
    • WAP version: WAP 2.0
